Happy Maintenance Day

According to the Earth Calender, today in the US it is Maintenance Day. Does anyone know what that is? To celebrate I organized my email inbox. I googled the holiday and many websites were listed but none describes what it is or why we celebrate it.
It's also A.A. Milne's birthday. Ever since I gave birth to Noodle I cry at ridiculous things: Christmas Carols, Hallmark Commercials, every ER espisode where a pregnancy occurs...skip that, every ER episode (fortunately I travel Thursday nights and don't see it very often anymore). Original Winnie the Pooh literature (and 'Now we are Six') chokes me up when I read it to Noodle. Without you just kills us...we don't read it anymore. So I got a little choked up looking for the perfect A.A. Milne quote this afternoon. Here goes:

Are we going to be friends forever? Asked Piglet.
